Seamless or sectional guttering?
Both are legitimate choices. The difference is in how the gutter is made and joined, not a promise that one suits every house.
Sectional guttering
Made from standard lengths joined together along the roof edge. This is how replacement uPVC guttering is supplied, in a range of profiles and colours.
Seamless aluminium
Formed from one continuous length on our own machine, to the length measured at your property, so a run has no joins along it.
Longer runs and larger roofs
The longer the roof edge, the more joins a sectional system needs along it, while a seamless run has none. That is one reason seamless guttering can be worth considering on a longer run or a larger roof.
Which suits your property
That depends on the roof, the existing roofline and the look you want. We can talk through both at the quote visit, and the quotation sets out what is proposed.
Trees nearby? Ask about gutter protection
Where trees drop a lot of leaves onto the roof, gutter protection is worth raising at the quote visit. It is an optional addition, not part of a standard job.
Hedgehog Gutter Brush
We supply and fit the Hedgehog Gutter Brush, a brush-style guard that sits inside the gutter. It helps reduce how much leaf litter, moss and debris gets into the channel or packs down in it.
It still needs checking
Gutter protection reduces how much debris reaches the gutter; it does not remove the need to check and clear guttering. Under heavy tree cover, periodic cleaning may still be needed, and whether protection suits your guttering is confirmed at the quote visit.
